Gabrielle DeRosa, (Gabrielle De Rosa; Gallipoli, Italy, 14/06/1998) is an Italian singer-songwriter.
Since she was a child she cultivates a passion for music and writing: she writes poetry, songs, books. In 2006
she entered the world of classical music, starting her classical guitar training at the age of 8. She participates at various local competitions both as a singer (pop music) and as a guitarist (classical music).
In 2012 (14 years) she started her first songwriting project and enrolled at SIAE: she composed a song entitled "My life was a dead star" for voice and guitar which she presented at the Tour Music Fest (2012) and at various cultural events.
In 2014 she wrote the song "Summer Night", the instrumental part was written by her guitar master S.Mangia.
Her unpublished repertoire grows and she starts performing in public as a soloist presenting her unreleased tracks along with a choice of pop-rock, country-pop, country covers.
In 2015 she writes her first (unpublished) book, a fantasy novel.
She won several prizes in local competitions in Southern Italy with her songs and she is constantly dedicated to training and personal growth attending, in parallel with her musical and school studies, courses and master classes with various masters and artists, some of which: Charles Ramirez, Bungaro, Philip Hamilton , Fabrizia Barresi.
In the summer of 2017 she decided to arrange her unpublished repertoire for her first album, which will summarise the beginning of her musical career: it will include, in fact, songs written from 2015 to 2017 itself, both in English and in Italian.
Fascinated by chemistry and nature, she continues the scientific studies by attending the faculty of Environmental Sciences and Technologies at Università del Salento.
In autumn 2017 she performs live in pubs with her original songs accompanied by a band. The project also includes the entry of the keyboard - in addition to bass and drums - which will appear for the first time in her album. Due to technical problems with the platform, she is forced to delete her first YouTube channel, so, as a preview of her debut, she relaunches "Summer Night" by publishing it on all digital platforms.
In the winter between 2017 and 2018 she records her debut album "We Believe", produced in a CD version and published on digital platforms. Drums, bass, keyboard, guitar are recorded in studio as real instruments, played respectively by Antonio Russo, Fabio Bianco, Oscar Tarantino and Gabrielle herself. Mix and mastering are from Salvatore Angelé JS.
The release date is May 10th 2018, the album includes 7 songs written and composed by Gabrielle: some of recent composition, others already written two or three years before and maturated over the years thanks to the constant formative experiences in the music field. Gabrielle decides to enclose these songs in an independent production album, entitled "We Believe", like the homonymous song of recent writing that described her life project, it carries on a very important message for the artist.
In 2018 she began to collaborate with British and American radio stations, for interviews and airplays. A path that leads her to consolidate more and more the international mould of her artistic career.
She is selected to participate in the Medimex Songwriting Camp 2018, organised by Sony ATV. She participates in the Premio De André 2019 and she's among the 24 semi-finalists: she performs live with Rosso and We Believe at Casa Siae (Sanremo, Italy) for the semifinal.
